How Do You Know If Someone Is An Actual Bounty Hunter?

Bounty hunters, or fugitive recovery agents, are not licensed in Texas. They are not police officers either. They usually work for private investigators or security guard companies. They are obligated to meet certain legal requirements in Texas to be a bounty hunter. If they do not do this or claim they are law enforcement, that is illegal.
